DIY Â Halloween decorations
Halloween is next week! eeek! We’ve got our elf uniform pressed and ready and a sleigh’s worth of candy to pass out. Now we just have to finish decorating. We love decorating for Halloween. I’ve found tons of DIY Halloween decorations and have been making Elf Bob help me. 🙂 Here are a few of the decorations we’re planning to make and a few more we just really wanted to share.
Scary pumpkin carving
How to:Â
-Carve the top and take out all the seeds
-Cut out eyes
-When cutting mouth, make one side wider than the other (enough to fit fake leg in)
-Use old jeans, a sock and shoe to make fake leg.
-Stuff jeans with grocery bags, paper or fluff.
-Use fake blood to make it spooky
SoloCup Eyes
Decorate solo cups with eyes. Great for parties.
How to:
-Glue plastic eyes to orange solo cups
Oozing Stairs
Glowsticks on the front steps for Halloween night!
How to:
-Break glowsticks over your steps
-Let the glowsticks ooz down and drip
Pumpkin and Ghost wine bottles
Decorated wine glasses for Halloween. Easy for the porch and they won’t go bad.
How to:
-Get the labels off your wine bottle using olive oil
-Paint the bottles – use orange for pumpkin and frosted glass for the ghost
-Use vinyl to cut out faces
-Glue face pieces to glasses
Trunk or Treat ideas
Trunk or Treating is becoming more popular. Decorate your car for the occassion!

Halloween Treats
Who doesn’t love treats?! I know I do! yuummmmy!! Rudolph and I are always getting fussed at for eating too many sweets but they’re just so yummy! We make sure to brush and floss our teeth to make up for all the candy. Here are some delicious Halloween treats I just had to share.
Frankenstein rice krispies
Ingredients:
-3 tablespoons butter or margarine
-1Â package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
-6 cups Rice Krispies® or 6 cups Ready-To-Eat Cereal Cocoa Krispies™
-Canned frosting or decorating gel
-Assorted candies
Cute ghost strawberries
How to:
-Wash strawberries and pat dry
-Melt white chocolate
-Dip each strawberry in the chocolate mixture.
-Place on a waxed paper-lined baking sheet, allowing excess chocolate to form the ghosts’ tails. Immediately
-Press chocolate chips into coating for eyes.
-Freeze for 5 minutes.
-Dip a toothpick into melted chocolate and draw a mouth on each face.Â

How to:
-Cut off ring part of plastic spider rings
-Put spiders in ice tray and freeze
How to:
-Pierce the bottom of your peanut butter cup with a toothpick, helping to create a hole for the pretzel to go into.
-Stick your pretzel into the hole, but not too far as you don’t want it to come out the other side.
